Dr. Ricardo Camacho
Dr. Ricardo Camacho is head of the Molecular Biology Laboratory at Hospital Egas Moniz, Lisbon, Portugal. The laboratory is also the AIDS Reference Laboratory for the Southern Region of Portugal. His research involves HIV-1 and HIV-2 drug resistance and molecular epidemiology. Dr. Camacho is currently member of the European HIV Drug Resistance Guidelines panel and he is involved in several National and European projects.
Koen Deforche
Koen Deforche holds a Master in Electronic Engineering, a Master in Science of Bioinformatics and a PhD in Medical Sciences. He has experience in the design and development of several widely used software packages, including bioinformatics and computational analyses as well as database solutions in the field of HIV and noroviruses. He is also a co-founder of Emweb, a company providing innovative solutions for the development of complex web-based user interfaces.
Pieter Libin
Pieter Libin graduated in Applied Informatics. He has experience in the design and development of software applications, with focus on product management and maintenance. His expertise also covers several technologies in the domain of analysis and data management, more specific client/server applications and service oriented applications.
Prof Dr Anne-Mieke Vandamme
Prof Dr Anne-Mieke Vandamme is part of the division of Clinical and Epidemiological Virology at the Rega Institute, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium. Her research involves the molecular epidemiology of HIV, HCV and HTLV, and clinical investigations on HIV drug resistance. Her laboratory performs HIV drug resistance testing for the AIDS Reference Laboratory in Leuven. Prof. Vandamme currently heads the European HIV Drug Resistance Guidelines group and is involved in many European meetings and projects.
